Today I'd like to introduce you to a wonderful photographer here on deviantART and the recent winner of my You've Been Framed Contest, *Robiq.

*Robiq joined deviantART just over a year ago on Jan 18, 2007 and became another member of the greatest art website in the world. Like many members before him, he not only brought his love and talent for photography with him, but instantly fell in love with this vast community of artists.

While he's still young, *Robiq has a lot to bring to the photography community here on deviantART. A quick browse through his gallery will yield a vast collection of inspirational artwork.



Foggy Road and Sunset at Sula Colorful are the two photographs that *Robiq is most proud of in his line-up. I have to agree with him. The crisp, hard shapes of Foggy Road and the soft, warm colors of Sunset at Sula definitely capture the time and moment of the scenes. One can't help but be connected to the photograph as they stare at it. *Robiq captured the essence of these two scenes and helped preserve them for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

When not engrossed in photography and deviantART, *Robiq has another passion to keep him occupied, athletics. Once he's finished with his formal education, *Robiq plans to attend an athletic academy to further his skills as an athlete. As always, he won't let that completely take over his life. His passion for photography will still live on and he also hopes to one day be able to make a career out of photography.

Being a member of deviantART has helped mold and shape *Robiq's artwork into what it is today. Since joining dA, he has discovered many other great artists to pull inspiration from. Went Fishing by *werol is just one example of the many he has been able to look to for ideas. Other artists that have caught his eye include *joffo1, *Sortvind, *Toope, and *wb-skinner.

When I asked *Robiq for some insight to improving photography skills, he said, "...good images doesn't come from good gear, but it comes from experience and training. Get out and take pictures, that's the only way you'll get better!" I couldn't have stated it any better. It's true, the only way to do something and to do it well is to go do it!

As I finish up this feature, I just want to take a moment to share with you some of my favorite photographs from *Robiq's collection and congratulate him on the Grand Prize win in my Framed contest with his entry of White Flower.
